PRAYER ROOM MINISTRY

First United Methodist's Personal Prayer Ministry is an intercessory prayer outreach on behalf of our church family, persons in need and the world in which we live.

Intercessory prayer is a petition or request offered to God on behalf of someone else. It is an unselfish action that grows out of a deep concern toward the other person or group. It is usually a prayer that is quite specific in its asking; sometimes persistent waiting before God until some crisis is resolved; serious sickness, family unrest, unemployment, a binding habit, etc.

Praying for others is an act of Christian caring. It is a deed done in faith, hope, and love. There is no action filled with more meaning than taking one's stand before God to voice a concern about some change or benefit that is needed.

We actively seek to further the will of God by prayerfully bringing before our creator the needs of those with whom we share this place and time.

Our Prayer Room is staffed by Prayer Partners who have committed themselves to share a part of their weekly lives with those in need. It important to know that ALL prayer requests are absolutely CONFIDENTIAL. Our church family brings their personal needs to God in prayer. These request are treated in a confidential, respectful manner.

If you would like to submit a prayer request, please refer to PRAYER REQUEST;

call the church office (979-245-4627) and your request will be taken over the phone. The request will submitted to the Prayer Room. Your request and information are used only as you indicate. It includes name and address of whom the prayer request is for and what the concern is. Also, included is indication if we may send this person a note of encouragement.
