Senior Pastor - Pastor Wade Floyd Pastor Wade is a native Texan who grew up mainly in the Katy/Houston area, and is a huge Astros fan! His wonderful wife’s name is Julie. Julie is from Wisconsin originally, they met and married while living in Colorado, and got to Texas shortly thereafter. Together they have two awesome, energetic little boys. They are both church babies, love to be around people, and are happy to have so many new friends to meet and play with. This his fifth year under appointment. Previously he worked and volunteered in youth ministry for about 10 years, and has other ministry and work experiences. He graduated from UT-San Antonio, with a degree in business management. He also has two master degrees, a MA in Leadership from Denver Seminary and an MDiv, aka the “pastor’s degree”, from United Theological Seminary. His hobbies include: spending time with Julie, playing with their boys, eating a tasty meal, playing board/card games, hunting, fishing, writing, reading, going to the movies, and watching/playing sports. Pastor Wade is here to serve and is all about us doing this thing we call church and faith together. With this in mind he wants you to know that his door is always open, he seeks to be open and available as much as possible, and will do all he can as the shepherding leader of FUMC. Secretary - Leslie Hubbard Leslie graduated in 1988 from Van Vleck High School, she has an associated degree in Engineering Graphics and Design. Her back ground is in pipe design; she worked at Chevron Phillips for 20+ years and decided to retired when the Corona Virus hit. Leslie has a heart for service and when the opportunity to serve as office Administrator became available she took a chance and applied for the job. She grew up in Matagorda County and has lived in the area her entire life. She currently lives in Van Vleck, Texas, with her husband Lee and youngest daughter. Lee and Leslie have 3 beautiful children and 1 amazing Granddaughter. She loves being at home and being with her family and friends, loves to cook, take care of her dogs and spends her free time with her Granddaughter
Sunshine and Rainbows Director - Cecially Breazeale Cecially was formerly employed as a 4 year old teacher at Sunshine and Rainbows Academy as well as a parent of a student. She has vast experience working with young children in a church setting and is a leader in the home school community. Proverbs 22:6
Praise Team Director - Susan Parish Susan, a Bay City native, graduated from BCHS in 1979. She got a certificate in Legal Stenography from Alvin Community College and has served many clerical jobs since then. She first joined staff here in 1987 as pianist and became the Praise Team Director here in 2002. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, to travel, read, watch movies, go to concerts, play board games, listen to music, and play music. Choir Director - Gena Herrera Gena joined the staff here after serving and leading in the Praise Team and in the Chancel Choir. Her talents became apparent and she stepped into the position of Choir Director from the support of her church family and husband Jesse. Gena is a high school teacher in her "Spare" Time.
